Adding a New Entry to the Noticeboard
You may add notices to the noticeboard so that other website visitors may see them. Please bear in mind the following points...
Please do not add events. These should be added to the Events Diary.
You may add almost any other sort of announcement but it should be connected with the island. If you're looking for something or selling something then add a notice. Announcements of births, deaths, marriages and so on are acceptable.
If your notice is one that you want a response to, then make sure you give a method for answering. You can do this by adding a telephone number somewhere in the description field, or by putting your email address in the Email field, or a URL in the URL field.
If you add a URL, make sure you put "http://" at the start. In other words enter "http://www.mydomain.co.uk" and not just "www.mydomain.co.uk" as this will produce a faulty link that just won't work.
The fields for URL and Email are optional and can be left empty.
The password you choose will allow you to edit your notice later if this is necessary, or to remove it. When choosing a password it should be 6 or more characters long. It should not include punctuation marks or spaces.
Any notices which contain anything rude or unsuitable for a family-friendly website will be removed.
